How is the course delivered?


The course is delivered via a live interactive webinar


Is the course delivered over 4 consecutive days?


This is up to you, we will book the dates that best fit in with your work commitments. This can be on consecutive dates, weekly or monthly.


Who will be delivering my course?


The course will be delivered by experienced trainers with competency in Estate Agency


Is the course certified?


Upon completion of the course, you will receive Propertymark ARLA or NAEA certification


How are you able to deliver Propertymark courses?


We are a Propertymark Registered Delivery and Examination centre

 

         

What does the test comprise of?


The tests comprise of 20 multiple choice questions and the pass grade is 70%


Do I have to attend an examination center?


No, the test can be invigilated in your place of work


Do I have to have previous experience in Estate Agency?


Yes, you must have a minimum of 3 years industry experience


Do I need any special equipment?


You will need a laptop or a PC which will have to be video conferencing enabled. We are able to provide web cams if required


What is the cost?


The cost if £1250 for one person for 4 days including exams and certifications and £750 for any additional attendees

1. Understand the legal framework as it applies to estate agency
2. Understand the common law and legislative protection available for consumer
3. Understand the restrictions and regulations covering the provision of financial advice
4. Understand matters relating to development and ‘for sale’ boards
5. Understand tax requirements on property sales

Practice Relating to Residential Property Sale

 


1. Understand the different types of agency residential property
4. Understand the requirements to provide any associated documentation
5. Understand the requirements of different types of seller

6. Understand basic marketing techniques and the role of advertising, selling and IT in estate agency
7. Understand how to deal with offers made on properties for sale
8. Understand the role of others in the house buying process

Property Appraisal and Basic Building Construction and Defects

 

 

1. Understand the factors affecting property value
2. Understand the property appraisal process
3. Understand the differences between property styles and ages
4. Understand basic building construction relating to foundations, floors, walls, roofs and services
5. Understand the common building and services defects and repair requirements
6. Understand common warranty and certification schemes for new homes
